Strategy, story, and the small things that make a brand feel human.

My grandpa owned a donut shop in Lima, Ohio. One year he made a radio jingle for it, and that Thanksgiving he played it for the whole family. More than once. It’s still on the radio today.

That’s where I learned that marketing is just someone being proud of something they’ve built and wanting people to know.

I studied graphic design at the University of Cincinnati, then spent over a decade in New York City working across industries. Law, beauty, and plenty in between. A lot of it was making complicated things understandable by actual humans. On the side, I co-founded a community garden in Brooklyn that’s been going for over a decade now . It taught me more about getting people to work together than any job did.

The pandemic brought me back to Ohio. Now I’m the Director of Marketing at Meyers+Associates, an architecture and interior design firm in Columbus. I was the first person in the role, so I got to decide how the firm sounds. Mostly that means less lofty, more human.

Every organization looks like its product from the outside. Buildings, software, donuts. I’m more interested in what’s underneath. The people. Why they care. The thing they’d share with the whole family at Thanksgiving. That’s what I build a brand around.
